Built on a 1/2" birch plywood box with a UV-coated birch veneer interior, the Elegant Sand Shaker collection features solid Baltic birch face frames and door frames paired with MDF center panels. The warm sand finish reads as a soft warm off-white with slightly warm undertones, sitting comfortably between true white and cream. Color-matched cabinet sides keep the exterior consistent across perimeter runs and island applications.
Drawer boxes are constructed from 5/8" hardwood with dovetail joinery and a 3/8" birch plywood bottom, riding on soft-close undermount full-extension glides. Doors hang on concealed, 6-way adjustable soft-close hinges that allow precise fitting after installation. Shelves are 3/4" birch plywood with moisture-resistant wood veneer — adjustable to accommodate standard pantry items or taller cookware.

Cabinet boxes are built from 1/2" birch plywood with a UV-coated birch veneer interior finish.
Plywood construction resists racking and humidity changes better than particleboard, and the UV coating protects the interior surface from moisture and staining over time.
Dovetail Drawer Boxes
Drawer boxes are assembled with dovetail joinery from 5/8" hardwood sides and a 3/8" birch plywood bottom.
Dovetail joints interlock mechanically under load, distributing stress across the corner rather than relying solely on fasteners or adhesive — a measurable durability advantage over dowel or staple assembly.
Soft-Close Hardware Throughout
Both door hinges and drawer glides are soft-close: concealed 6-way adjustable hinges on doors and undermount full-extension slides on drawers.
Undermount slides keep the drawer bottom supported across its full width, which prevents sagging in wider drawers used for heavy items like cast iron or stone mortars.
Full Overlay Door Construction
Shaker doors with squared edges sit in a full overlay configuration, covering most of the face frame.
Full overlay leaves minimal frame visible between adjacent doors, giving a cleaner, more continuous run and reducing the visual weight of the face frame without eliminating it structurally.
