Princeton Cream Glaze

A raised-panel maple door with a hand-applied glaze that settles into the profile lines and stays there.

Princeton Cream Glaze pairs a solid maple face frame and door frame with an MDF center panel, finished in a cream base coat and a brown glaze worked into the recesses of the raised panel and frame edges. The cabinet box is 1/2" maple plywood with a natural maple interior, so there's no particle board anywhere in the construction.

Doors are built with a solid maple frame and full overlay to the box, hung on soft-close, concealed 6-way adjustable hinges. Drawers are 5/8" solid wood with dovetail joinery running on soft-close, full-extension undermount glides, and shelves are 3/4" veneered plywood that adjusts to fit.

Key Features

Raised Panel Door

A solid maple frame surrounds a raised MDF center panel, giving the door a traditional profile with depth and shadow lines.

The raised panel and frame are milled to hold a glaze finish evenly along every recess and edge.

Hand-Applied Glaze

A brown glaze is worked into the door's corners, grooves, and panel edges over the cream base coat.

Glazing is a separate finishing step after the base coat cures, which is why it settles unevenly into the detail lines rather than sitting flat on the surface.

Dovetail Drawer Boxes

Drawer boxes are 5/8" solid wood joined with dovetail construction, not stapled or doweled.

Dovetail joints hold under repeated drawer use without the box loosening at the corners over time.

Soft-Close Hardware Throughout

Doors run on concealed, 6-way adjustable soft-close hinges; drawers run on undermount, full-extension soft-close glides.

6-way adjustability lets doors be squared to the face frame after installation, which matters more on a full overlay door than a partial overlay one.
